Letter from council to private landlord requesting return of tenancy deposit they paid directly to landlord because no prescribed information notice received within 30 days

If a council homeless team has paid tenancy deposit money to a private landlord to secure a tenancy, the landlord must both protect the deposit money by registering it with one of the statutory schemes, and serve a notice on both the tenant and the council. The notice must contain prescribed information.

Use this letter where the landlord has not served the prescribed information notice on the council within the 30-day period, and on this basis you wish the landlord to return the money.
