Requesting a statement of reasons from the housing benefit office for a refusal to pay you (the landlord) housing benefit directly

A letter to send to the housing benefit office when they have decided not to pay your tenant's housing benefit directly to you.

The letter asks housing benefits to confirm their reasons for the decision in writing in full (i.e. provide a 'statement of reasons').  This can help you decide whether you have grounds for requesting a review or appealing to the independent First Tier Tribunal.
