Requesting housing benefit is paid directly to you because you're unwilling to grant a further tenancy unless benefit is paid direct

A letter asking the housing benefit office to confirm whether they would be willing to pay your tenant's housing benefit directly to you.

Use this letter only if you the claimant already has a tenancy with you, but you're unwilling to grant a further replacement tenancy unless housing benefit is paid directly to you.

Note that there are additional letters available for where you have different grounds for requesting direct payments, e.g. where there are rent arrears of over 8 weeks, or where the tenant is having difficulty managing their affairs and is unlikely to pay their rent to you.
