This letter enables you to:

• notify a local authority wishing to make a local connection referral to your council that you accept the referral the referral conditions are satisfied (as set out in section 198 of the Housing Act 1996), but
• you previously discharged the relief duty.

The letter explains that you will be contacting the applicant to discuss their current circumstances, before you decide:

• whether you will be accepting the s.189B relief duty, and
• whether you will be accepting the s.188 interim accommodation duty.
