Ending main housing duty – because applicant voluntarily ceased to occupy main duty accommodation

A letter for notifying a homeless applicant that the main housing duty has ended because:

  • the applicant has voluntarily ceased to occupy, as their only or principal home, the temporary accommodation made available to meet the section 193 duty.

The main duty can be ended for this reason under section 193(6)(d) of the Housing Act 1996.
