Reg.7(2) letter -minded to uphold ending of relief because suitable accommodation available (s189B(7)(a))

A letter enabling a reviewing officer to comply with Regulation 7(2) of the Homelessness (Review Procedure etc) Regulations 2018, when reviewing a homelessness decision.

Use this particular Reg.7(2) letter where:

  • The review concerns the ending of the relief duty on the grounds that the applicant has suitable accommodation available for their occupation, which is likley to last for six months.

The letter informs the applicant:

  • Of your reasons for considering that there was a deficiency or irregularity in the original decision.
  • That you are nonetheless minded on review to uphold the decision to end the relief duty.
  • Of your reasons for being minded to make an adverse decision on review (both in terms of suitability, and the procedural requirements relating to how the relief duty must be ended).
  • That they can make oral and/or written representations.
  • How such representations can be made.
  • The deadline for making representations.
