Repeat homeless application not accepted / circumstances not changed

A letter confirming that the council is not accepting a homeless application because:

  • the person previously applied for assistance under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996
  • the previous application was determined, and
  • the current facts are the same as when the earlier application was disposed of.

You should only refuse to undertake inquiries under section 184 of the Housing Act 1996 in these circumstances where there have been no factual changes.
