A letter asking the housing benefit office to give their reasons for making a particular decision on your housing benefit claim.

The letter asks housing benefits to confirm their reasons for the decision in writing in full (i.e. provide a 'statement of reasons').  This can help you decide whether you have grounds for requesting a review or appealing to the independent First Tier Tribunal.
