This template letter enables you request the reimbursement of the costs your council has incurred in securing temporary accommodation for a homeless applicant whose case has been successfully referred to another authority on grounds of local connection under section 80 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.

Paragraph 7.4 of the Local Authorities' Agreement recommends that once a referral is accepted the notified authority should reimburse the notifying authority for any expenses which have been reasonably incurred in providing temporary accommodation, as well as the cost of protecting property.
