Section 184 decision - accepting main s.193 housing duty
A letter for notifying a homeless applicant that they:
- have a priority need
- are not intentionally homeless, and
- are owed the main duty.
This letter assumes that:
- you have taken the decision after 56 days have passed from when you were first satisfied that the applicant was homeless and eligible for assistance (i.e. when you first accepted the s.189B(2) relief duty was owed), and
- the applicant is occupying temporary accommodation that has been secured by the council.
The letter explains the circumstances in which the main duty will end.
