Section 202 homeless review - overturning decision that final offer was suitable / accepting main housing duty owed

A letter for notifying a section 202 review decision to a homeless applicant, when you are:

  • Overturning a decision previously made that a final offer of accommodation was suitable, and
  • Accepting that the main housing duty is owed (under section 193 of the Housing Act 1996).

This letter is suitable for when the final offer was made:

  • To end the main duty, or
  • To end the relief duty IF, by the time the review is determined, the main housing duty is being accepted.

By contrast if you wish to overturn the suitability of a final offer that was made to end the relief duty, and the relief duty has not ended, you should instead use the following letter:
